The UWM Foundation’s mission is to support the educational, literary and scientific endeavors of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee by receiving, managing and distributing gifts to benefit the University’s students, faculty, programs and community. In addition, the UWM Foundation created two affiliated organizations, the UWM Real Estate Foundation and the UWM Research Foundation. The UWMREF works to develop and manage real property for the benefit of the campus and students and the UWMRF provides support to campus research and research commercialization. These three organizations work together to further the University’s mission.
The UWM Foundation is seeking a part-time, Student Gift Processing Assistant. This position is responsible for researching, entering and maintaining data in the gift information system (Millennium) and auditing the integrity of that data.
The individual hired should be able to work approximately 20 hours a week during the school year. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexible schedule to work around classes and additional hours may be available during winter and summer and spring breaks. Most of the work for this position is done in the office, however some remote work time may be allowed.
Student Gift Processing Assistant Responsibilities:
Enter donations received in the UWM Foundation lockbox account into the Millennium database
Run reports using Crystal Reports software
Issue donor gift receipts
Confirm matching gifts
Verify, complete and mail out matching gift forms weekly
Update donor contact information in the Millennium database
Scan and link pledge/gift documentation to donor profiles
Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned

Student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Organized
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to work in a team
Proficient with Word and Excel.

The UWM Foundation is seeking a part-time IT Student Assistant. The responsibilities of this position include handling of day-to-day updates and other data entry for the alumni/donor database, support to full-time IT staff in their daily functions including, but not limited to database maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting.
This position is in-person, but hybrid/remote work schedules may be permitted in the future based on performance and management approval.
Minimum Qualifications
Sophomore status
High level of proficiency in the use of computer hardware and operating systems
Highly motivated and willing to learn and acquire new technical skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned projects
Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment
Strong attention to detail, and ability to document business processes
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Enrollment (or intent to enroll) in a technology-focused major/program, including but not limited to: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology Management or Information Science and Technology
Familiarity with relational database concepts; experience with SQL is a plus
Help desk experience is a plus
